Adrian Lines  ARPS EFIAP MPAGB

Adrian first became interested in photography after buying a Fuji S7000 Bridge camera whilst on a family trip to London in 2006. He was impressed by the quality of the images compared to his previous point and click style cameras and quickly moved on to his first DSLR, a Nikon D70. Adrian joined a local Photographic Society (Wigan PS) in an attempt to become more proficient with his equipment.

Joining Wigan PS drew Adrian into competition photography, and after twelve months perfecting the craft, he started to have some minor successes at club level, followed by entering Southport Open Exhibition in 2008, his first national competition. Adrian joined Chorley Photographic Society in 2012 and subsequently left Wigan to pursue ambitions in club competitions, helping Chorley PS to come second in the FIAP World Cup in 2014 and reaching the finals of both the PAGB inter-club championships in recent years.

In addition to the photographic distinctions listed above, Adrian achieved an FBPE in 2014 as a result of 500 acceptances in British Exhibitions with over 50 awards. He won a FIAP Blue Badge as the best photographer in the Finland Circuit in 2010, and also other Blue Badges as the Best Photographer at the Northern Counties International in 2011 and 2012, and Welsh International in 2013 and 2014. He has also won a selection of medals in the BPE circuits and PSA Exhibitions.

Adrian's style of photography is still developing in strange directions, with many of his most successful images being composites, with some of the elements being hand drawn. He loves creating stories using photographs, to satisfy his own needs and imagination.

Jane Lines  LRPS MPAGB BPE5

Jane lives in Wigan, Lancashire. She took up photography at the end of 2009, after following her husband Adrian around while he took photos. When she's not working, Jane likes to be out and about with her camera, shooting a wide range of subjects including people, places and nature, to name but a few.

In the few years since Jane took up photography, it has given her tremendous fun and personal satisfaction, and not a little success, having already gained her LRPS, CPAGB, DPAGB, MPAGB and BPE5* distinctions. She is also a member of Chorley Photographic Society.

Jane is a judge and Lecturer for the local Lancashire and Cheshire Federation and has recently been appointed as a judge for the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain. She loves to print her finished images and is sponsored by Fotospeed as one of their lecturers.

Roger Ford  FRPS EFIAP/g

Roger Ford has been active in photography for over 40 years. In his work, he finds something compelling about creating an image which cannot be seen by the naked eye or retained in the mind. In a similar vein, he enjoys catching that moment of juxtaposition when the reality unfolds to reveal a scene which tells a story, asks questions and preferably creates an emotional response. His Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society (FRPS) was awarded for a panel of monochrome prints in the Pictorial Section. Roger sits on the RPS Licentiate Assessment Panel and has been a judge and selector on a variety of national and international salons and exhibitions.

He has had images accepted/awarded in RPS International Exhibitions and enters other international photographic salons under the patronage of FIAP. He currently has reached the level of ‘Excellence’ EFIAP/gold, during which he has had images accepted in all five continents of the world, including a number of medals and other awards.

Roger is a past President of his local camera club before moving abroad, where he was involved in setting up a camera club in Chennai in India and developing an existing club in Abu Dhabi. He returned to South London in 2010 and now spends his time between Beckenham and La Rochelle in France. He is currently an active member of both Beckenham Photographic Society and ‘Image in Perigny’. In 2017, Roger also accepted an invitation to become a member of the London Salon of Photography.

Simon Stafford 

From a young age, Simon developed a passion and fascination for the natural world. He devoted much of his time to observing and learning about the wildlife near his family’s home in rural Kent. His interest in photography began some years later while studying biophysics at Aberdeen University. Completely self-taught, he talked his way into a job as the photographer for the university's weekly newspaper and has been taking photographs ever since.

During the past thirty-five years Simon has accrued a wealth of experience in both film and digital photography covering a broad range of subjects, but for the past fifteen years he has concentrated on photographing wildlife and nature. His pictures have been published in newspapers, books and magazines, including Practical Photography, Digital SLR Photography, Professional Photographer and Nikon Pro. He is also the Technical Editor of Nikon Owner magazine.

Simon is not only a photographer, but also the author of over twenty-five books on the Nikon camera system. An experienced tutor who presents a wide range of photography seminars and workshops, he leads landscape, travel, and wildlife photography tours regularly in the UK, Europe, Africa and Asia. He was awarded as the Overall Winner - Mammals category, in the Natural History Museum / Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2016 competition and for four out of the past five years has been shortlisted in the same competition.

Gianpiero Ferrari  FRPS DPAGB FBPE

Gianpiero is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society and currently a member of the ARPF and FRPS assessment panel. He is a member of the Rolls Royce Photographic Society in Derby. Gianpiero has been interested in the natural world for as long as he can remember. He started off in wildlife photography about 25 years ago and he loves every aspect of natural history, from the smallest flower to the larger mammals.

He was PAGB wildlife Photographer of the year in 2017 and has won Gold Medals in the Nature sections of several national and international competitions. His work has appeared in many publications, such as BBC Wildlife Magazine, RSPB calendars and Collins Field Guide books.

A few years ago, Gianpiero took early retirement, and since then he has as travelled widely in Europe, Sri Lanka, the United States, Africa, India, the Falkland Islands, the West Indies and his favourite place - Australia.

Jenny Hibbert  EFIAP MPAGB AWP

Jenny has been interested in photography for over 4 decades. She is a member of Bridgend & District Camera Club and currently the Chair. This has lead to new friends and new photographic challenges and opportunities. She is a qualified judge for PAGB, as well as a judge for her local camera clubs. Jenny also gives presentations to various clubs and groups.

Her interests cover all types of photography, but nature in particular. Jenny gained her MPAGB in 2010. She also holds an EFIAP/b and is waiting to see if she was successful in gaining the EFIAP/s. She has exhibited widely and has won a number of Gold Medals and similar accolades. To her, photography is not what she does. It is who she is, it is her life.
