Southampton International Exhibition is pleased to announce our esteemed judges for 2022
Lynda Haney DPAGB; BPE5*; EFIAP.
Will be judging classes: A, B & C
Lynda has been taking photographs for many years, but it wasn’t until 1996, when watching a colleague using a very early version of Photoshop on the department computer, that she went digital. A digital camera and a computer soon followed and saw her photographic journey take a big leap forward.
With a degree in Physics and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education she spent many years teaching in a high school, moving on to teaching IT and digital imaging in a learning centre before retirement beckoned. She then enrolled on a degree course in Contemporary Photography Practice where a new world of conceptual photography and art appreciation opened up.
Lynda has enjoyed competition from an early age, competing in various disciplines with horses. In later years her main love was in the competitive world of eventing. Photography took over from the horses, she joined a camera club in 2010 and discovered a new competitive direction with club competition entering her first national competitions in 2016 followed by international competitions in 2018.
Whilst still enjoying wildlife photography her main love now is creating composite images where she enjoys time in post processing as much as time with a camera in her hand.
