Laurie Campbell MFA DPAGB AIPF EFIAP BPE2*

Will be judging classes: A, B & C

Laurie Campbell grew up on a farm in rural Co.Tyrone in N.Ireland  It was during these formative wellie-wearing years that she developed a love of local wildlife, the rural environment and getting her feet wet! She discovered early on that being outside was her natural habitat.

She came to photography late in her career, replacing her much used & rather worn running shoes for a Canon camera, discovering photography provided a creative outlet for her artistic aspirations. After gaining a Masters in Fine Art Photography from the University of Ulster, she went on to exhibit her work in a number of art exhibitions, before joining Catchlight CC, and finding success in numerous national and international salons & exhibitions.  Her original passion for wildlife photography, has evolved to include other genres, especially portraiture & creative composites.

With a degree in Food Science, Economics & Marketing and a masters in European Business, she worked in the food industry for a number of years, before moving onto a lecturer post within DARD teaching a range of subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate level until 2016. She now volunteers with an organisation supporting victims of crime
